LIST OF 2020 SPRING SPORTS SENIORS

Wauseon’s Alisa Shelt was named to the Division II All-State Softball Team this week as selected by the Ohio High School Softball Coaches Association.  The 4-year varsity letter winner earned 2nd Team All-Ohio honors. Congratulations!!

Several softball players have earned post-season honors as voted on by the coaches.  Congratulations to the following: Alisa Shelt:  NWOAL PLAYER OF THE YEAR, 1st Team NWOAL, 1st Team All-District Macee Schang:  1st Team NWOAL and 2nd Team All-District Christina Norman:  2nd Team NWOAL and 2nd Team All-District Harlee Floss:  2nd Team NWOAL Payton Albright:  Honorable Mention NWOAL Juli Spadafore:  Honorable

The Wauseon softball team defeated Swanton 5-0 to claim the 2019 NWOAL Softball Championship.  The team finished 6-1 in the NWOAL.  They also won the NWOAL in 2018.  This is the 9th NWOAL softball championship for Wauseon High School and the 135th league title overall.  In the decisive game at Swanton, Macee Schang pitched a no-hitter

Wauseon Sophomore pitcher Macee Schang pitched a no-hitter to lead the team’s 11-1 victory over Wayne Trace on Thursday, May 2. Macee allowed 1 run, 0 hits, and 0 walks while striking out 9 in 5 innings to record the win.  Macee also did some damage with her bat recording a home run.  Harlee Floss (double, 2 singles), Alisa Shelt (doulble, single), and Christina Norman (double)

The Wauseon Indians have advanced to the Division II UNOH Lima District Finals with victories over Defiance (12-7) and Bath (8-2).  The #2 seeded Indians will face the #1 seeded Napoleon Wildcats on Saturday, May 18.  Details of the game are below: Saturday, May 18 1:00 pm UNOH Softball Field – (1760 N.
