Easton Delgado named 2nd Team All-State

Wauseon’s Easton Delgado was named to the Division II All-State Soccer team this week as selected by the Ohio Scholastic Soccer Coaches Association.  The 4-year varsity letter winner earned 2nd Team All-Ohio honors.

Several Fall Athletes Earn All-District Honors for 2020

Several Wauseon fall sports athletes earned All-District honors in their respective sports as selected by either members of the media or coaches (depending on the sport).  The list of All-District winners include:   BOYS GOLF (as voted by the coaches) Andy Scherer ’20 – 1st Team; Dylan Grahn ’21 – Honorable Mention   GIRLS GOLF (as voted by the coaches)

Fall Athletes Excel in the Classroom

The varsity letter winners from this fall’s athletic teams demonstrated the value of education-based athletics with an outstanding performance in the classroom during the 1st quarter of the school year.  116 athletes earned varsity letters and the average GPA for the quarter was 3.62. All-NWOAL Boys Soccer

7 members of the boys soccer team earned All-NWOAL honors for the 2020 season.  Highlighting the list are Easton Delgado ’21 and Benicio Torres ’24 as they were named to the 1st team!  Earning 2nd team honors were Eli Delgado ’23, Gavin Gerig ’24, and Braden Vajen ’24.  Logan Richer ’21 and Benicio Vielma ’21 were also selected as Honorable Mention players.  Coach Casey Elson ’07 was named the NWOAL

Boys Soccer claims the NWOAL Championship

The boys soccer team defeated Delta 4-0 to claim the NWOAL Championship.  The team’s record is now 13-1 overall and 5-0 in the NWOAL.  The team has one league game remaining (Tues., Oct. 13 @ Bryan) but has already earned enough points to claim the title.  With one day of league games remaining, Wauseon has
