Layton Willson commits to Lourdes

Wauseon High School’s Layton Willson has committed to continuing his academic and running career at the next level and recently signed a letter of intent to Lourdes University (NAIA) in Sylvania, Ohio. Congratulations!!

Fall Athletes Excel in the Classroom

Both Cross Country Teams Qualify for State

Both the Boys and Girls Cross Country Teams performed very well at the D-II Regional meet in Tiffin and qualified for the State Cross Country meet in Columbus.  In the boys race, Wauseon was the Regional Champion with 63 points outdistancing Shelby (81) and Van Wert (102) at the top of the standings.  Braden Vernot

All-NWOAL Boys Cross Country

As the boys cross country team cruised to an NWOAL team championship, 5 members of the team earned All-NWOAL for the 2020 season at the league meet at Delta.  Highlighting the list is Braden Vernot ’21, as he repeated as the NWOAL Champion with a winning time of 16:01!  Joining Braden on the 1st team is Jack Callan

Vernot leads the Boys Cross Country team to the NWOAL Championship

The boys cross country team outdistanced the field to claim the NWOAL Championship last Saturday at Delta HS.  The team’s 27 points surpassed 2nd place Archbold with 62 points.  Liberty Center (77) and Bryan (82) rounded out the top 4 teams.  The team’s 27 points is the lowest score at the NWOAL meet since 2014

COVID related quarantine impacts fall sports
