Cheezan and Richer sign with Huntington

  Wauseon Seniors Michael Cheezan and Hannah Richer recently signed their letters of intent to continue their cross country and track careers at Huntington University.  Huntington is an NAIA school in Huntington, Indiana.  Michael is planning on studying computer science while Hannah will study either occupational therapy or special education.  Congratulations!

Cross Country sends two to State

The cross country team will have two participants for this weekend’s State Cross Country meet at National Trail Raceway in Hebron, Ohio.  Senior Michael Cheezan and Freshman Maggie Duden will represent the Indians on Saturday, November 3.   ** UPDATE – The State Cross Country meet has been postponed due to flooding on the course.

Wauseon High School Seniors Lexi Sauber and Michael Cheezan are the top performers in their respective sports in the NWOAL.  Over the weekend, Lexi was named the NWOAL Player of the Year in volleyball while Michael won the NWOAL Cross Country Championship. Boys Cross Country wins the O-G Invitational

The boys cross country team won the O-G Blue/Gold Invitational (Blue Division) on Saturday, September 15.  The team scored 91 points to outdistance 2nd place St. Marys (135) and 3rd place Napoleon (145). Michael Cheezan led the way with a 2nd place finish (17:17.6) while Braden Vernot finished 3rd (17:18.7).  Congratulations!

Boys JH Cross Country wins the NWOAL Championship

The Junior High Boys Cross Country team won the NWOAL Championship on Saturday.  The team scored 47 points to out-perform the runner up team from Archbold who scored 53.  Bryan placed 3rd with 64 points.  The Indians placed 6 runners in the top 21 finishers.  Congratulations to Coach Winters and all of the JH cross

NWOAL Cross Country Championships – Results

Wauseon Rotary to open Indian Hills Trails at the Fulton County Cross Country Invitational
