9 basketball players earn District 7 honors

Nine Wauseon basketball players (5 girls and 4 boys) were selected by the District 7 Basketball Coaches Association as All-District 7 performers.   For the girls, Marisa Seiler, ’22 was named to 1st Team District 7.  Autumn Pelok, ’22, Chelsie Raabe ’21, Hayley Meyer ’23, and Kadence Carroll ’22 were each named Honorable Mention.   For

All-NWOAL Boys Basketball

4 members of the boys basketball team earned All-NWOAL honors for the 2020-21 season.  Connar Penrod ’21 and Jonas Tester ’22 were selected as 1st team players. Earning Honorable Mention honors were Isaac Wilson ’21 and Kolton DeGroff  ’21.  Congratulations!

Wauseon to send 9 swimmers and 1 diver to state

The Wauseon swimming and diving teams are sending 10 athletes to the OHSAA State Swimming and Diving meets next week in Canton. Wednesday, February 24 – D-II Girls – Diving begins at 9:00 am, Swimming begins at 4:30 pm (timed finals) Thursday, February 25 – D-II Boys – Swimming begins at 4:30 pm (timed finals) GIRLS

OHSAA Boys Basketball Tournament Information

The boys basketball team will host the winner of the Wapakoneta/Celina game in the sectional final round of the D-II OHSAA Basketball Tournament.  The game will take place on Friday, February 26 at 7:00 pm. D-II DISTRICT BRACKET

Wrestling team wins 5th straight NWOAL title

The wrestling team had placers in all of the 14 weight classes, highlighted by 6 NWOAL champions, to win their 5th straight NWOAL Championship.  It is the 16th league wrestling championship in school history.  The team scored 260 points to take the title followed by Delta with 232.5, and Liberty Center with 182.5 points.  The

Marisa Seiler scores her 1000th career point

Junior Marisa Seiler scored her 1000th career point for the girls basketball program Thursday night at Patrick Henry.  Marisa becomes the 3rd member of the girls basketball 1000 point club joining Katie Griggs (1433 points) and Ashley Schrock (1115 points).  Marisa scored 344 points her freshman season, 308 points her sophomore season, and eclipsed 348
